G

Georgetown
"There Goes Old Georgetown"
(First two verses sang after a touchdown; last two after the PAT)

It's been so long since last we met
Lie down forever, lie down
Oh, have you any money to bet
Lie down forever, lie down!

There goes old...Georgetown
Straight for a...touchdown
See how they...gain ground
Lie down forever, lie down
Lie down forever, lie down!

Rah! Rah! Rah!
Hurrah for Georgetown
Cheer for victory today
'Ere the sun has sunk to rest,
In the cradle of the west
In the clouds will proudly float the Blue and Gray.

We've heard those loyal fellows up at Yale
Brag and boast about their 'Boola-Boola'
We've heard the Navy yell, we've listened to Cornell
We've heard the sons of Harvard tell
How Crimson lines could hold them
'Choo! Choo! Rah! Rah!', dear to Holy Cross
The proud old Princeton tiger is never at a loss
But the yell of all the yells,
The yell that wins the day
Is the 'HOYA, HOYA SAXA!' of the dear old Blue and Gray.

(Repeat First Two Verses)

George Washington
"Hail to the Buff"

Hail to the Buff!
Hail to the Blue!
Hail to the Buff and Blue!
All our lives we'll be proud to say
We hail from GW!
Oh by George,
We're happy we can say,
We're GW, here to show the way!
So raise high the Buff!
Raise high the Blue!
Loyal to GW!
You bet we're loyal to GW!
FIGHT!

Georgia
"Glory"
(Played after a score)

Glory, glory to old Georgia!
Glory, glory to old Georgia!
Glory, glory to old Georgia!
G-E-O-R-G-I-A.
Glory, glory to old Georgia!
Glory, glory to old Georgia!
Glory, glory to old Georgia!
G-E-O-R-G-I-A.

"Hail Georgia"
(Played after the PAT)

Hail to Georgia down in Dixie!
Our college honored fair and true,
The Red and Black is her standard,
Proudly it waves!
Streaming today and the ages through,
She's the fairest of the Southland,
We'll pledge our love to her for aye,
To that college dear we'll ring a cheer,
All hail to dear old UGA!

Georgia Southern

Wave the blue, wave the white
Hold the banner high
The Eagles are on the wing.
Sound a cry to the sky,
As we look for glory.
Victory now we sing.
Hail the blue, hail the white
Hail the team that's soaring
Upward to bring us fame;
Georgia Southern Eagles
Fight on to victory and
Win this game!

Georgia State
"Panther Pride"

Panther Pride, hail to the University,
Panther Pride, your name will live in history.
We'll fight for your honor,
And sing of your fame,
Carry the glory of Georgia State's name.
We hear the echoes past, they call to fast break to the line,
To win the game each time.
So take your hats off
To the blue and white and red team
And cheer for dear ole Panther Pride.

Georgia Tech
"White & Gold"
(Played after a touchdown)

So then it's up with the White and Gold
Down with the Red and the Black
Georgia Tech is out for a victory
We'll drop our battle axe on Georgia's head, CHOP!
When we meet her our team will surely beat her
Down on the old farm there'll be no sound
Till our bow wows rip through the air
When the battle is over Georgia's team will be found
With the Yellow Jackets swarming around.

"Ramblin' Wreck"
(Played after the PAT)

I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer,
A helluva, helluva, helluva, helluva, hell of an engineer,
Like all the jolly good fellows, I drink my whiskey clear,
I'm a Ramblin' Wreck from Georgia Tech and a hell of an engineer.

Oh, if I had a daughter, sir, I'd dress her in White and Gold,
And put her on the campus, to cheer the brave and bold.
But if I had a son, sir, I'll tell you what he'd do.
He would yell, "To Hell with Georgia," like his daddy used to do.

Oh, I wish I had a barrel of rum and sugar three thousand pounds,
A college bell to put it in and a clapper to stir it around.
I'd drink to all good fellows who come from far and near.
I'm a ramblin', gamblin', hell of an engineer.

Gettysburg
"Loyalty Song"

Fair Gettysburg our Alma Mater
Hear us praise thy name,
We'll ever lend our hearts and hands
To help increase thy fame.
The honor of old Gettysburg
Calls forth our loyalty.
So cheer RAH! RAH!
Old G' burg's Bullets
On to victory!

Gonzaga
"For the White and the Blue"

Onward, we cry! Conquer or die!
All for the White and Blue.
White for the honor, Blue for the courage
And our love of old G.U.
FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!
Carry her name, carry her fame,
Charging like warriors true.
Our battle cry, conquer or die
For the glory of Gonzaga U.

"Pep Song"

When the brawny Bulldogs fall in line
We're going to score a touchdown every time,
And we will yell, yell, yell for old G.U.,
To Alma Mater we will sing her praise,
Her emblems raise,
We're thru, boys, for another score,
And we will cheer, yea, cheer them all the more,
For they are Bulldogs of the Blue and White,
Full of fight---fight on to victory.

Grand Valley
"G.V.S.C. Victory"

Grand Valley victory, as the Lakers we have pride.
Our team will lead us on, Blue and White
We're at your side.
We want a Grand Valley victory, as our foes will quickly see.
Raise! Your! Voices and cheer for a
VIC-TO-RY!

Grinnell
"Here Come the Pioneers!"

The men of old were strong and bold, and full of energy,
They started out with song and shout the country for to see.
O'er hill and plain, with might and main, they wandered far and wide
And never feared, but pioneered, whatever might betide.

(Chorus)
Here come the Pioneers of Old Grinnell!
Everybody stands and cheers
When he sees the Pioneers.
Big men, strong men, sons of Old Grinnell!
If you want to fight, come along and fight
For we can fight like OH, BOY! See the Pioneers!

One day a bunch conceived a hunch that they would travel too,
J.B. Grinnell, the poets tell, their leader brave and true.
"We'll start today for Ioway to build a college there,
A college that for knowledge shall remain without compare."

(Repeat Chorus)

The Mississipp' without a slip they swam from shore to shore,
And then into the boundless view they ventured to explore.
Until J.B. climbed up a tree the country for to scan,
And hustled down to build a town according to the plan.

(Repeat Chorus)

They hauled some logs from out the bogs and built a shack or two,
And hired some profs and other toffs to teach them what to do.
They dug a hole and on a pole Old Glory planted there,
And then the bell of Old Grinnell began to split the air.

(Repeat Chorus)

We celebrate, perpetuate, and joyfully acclaim
The Pioneers of other years who always played the game.
The noble band who fought and planned in spite of everything.
And that is why we jollify, and that is why we sing.

(Repeat Chorus)
