Tiny Bow
Katelyn almost has enough hair for her little bows. I am so excited since she has one in every color. I was able to clip this one to a few tiny strands of hair. Love it!

Katelyn really enjoyed having lunch with her Aunt Cammie and cousin Molly. Molly kept Katelyn very entertained while Cammie and I chatted. They were so cute together.

We discovered a few days ago that Katelyn actually has two teeth coming in. They are side by side on the bottom so it was very hard to tell. One of them you can see when she opens her mouth to smile and eat. I am still trying to get a picture of the little teeth, without much success. If first you don't succeed.....

Katelyn is starting to reach out and try to pet Angel. It is pretty funny to watch, although Angel is not sure what to make of it yet. She has already been kicked by Katelyn's little feet so she is trying to stay out of the line of fire. I am sure they will be the best of friends soon.

My parents came in town on Thursday and we took Granny Stewart out to Olive Garden for her birthday. We had a great time. My cousin Tim met Katelyn for the first time. Katelyn did pretty well in the restaurant, but did not want to sit in the highchair. She protested very loudly to anyone who would listen.

Time for another photo shoot. I took Katelyn by myself for this round of pictures. We went during the week so it was much less crowded. Katelyn did fantastic. She just smiled and smiled. I was practically on top of the photographer's lense shaking her rattle and getting her to smile, but as her mom I know just want to do to get those wonderful smiles. Here are some of the pictures from the shoot.

Here we are trying unsuccessfully to get a picture of Katelyn's first tooth. We will try again when it comes in bigger. Katelyn just wanted to grab our hands and pull them in her mouth.

Our friends Bobby and Helen brought their little boy Ben over Wed. night. He is older than Katelyn so he was running all over place. We definitely got a crash course in babyproofing that night : ) Katelyn will probably be more excited about her friend Ben the next time we get together. They seemed pretty indifferent to each other, except for the time Katelyn was sitting innocently in her Bumbo Seat and Ben decided he wanted to sit in it too and proceeded to try and sit on top of her. Katelyn was not too happy about that : ) Of course the adults couldn't help but laugh as this all transpired.
Thursday we visited with one of my best friends from high school, Jenny, and her little boy Hatcher. This was actually the second time that Hatcher and Katelyn had seen each other. The first time was when they were around 3 1/2 to 4 months old. Lots of changes since then. Of course you can never get two babies to smile at the same time, but they look super cute anyway.
Katelyn must have been so inspired to see Hatcher having fun sitting up by himself, that she decided to sit by herself too. I couldn't believe it. She had been on the verge and then all of sudden she made up her mind and now she can sit by herself. She is still a bit wobbly, but is gaining strength everyday.
