Playday With Jenny and Hatcher

The online home of Ricky, Tammy, Katelyn, and another one on the way!
Katelyn had a very eventful week this week. I took my first trip to Huntsville just Katelyn and me. She did really great in the car. Pretty much sleeping the whole way. We stopped once just so Mommy could make sure she was okay. I hate not being able to hear her over the noise of the car.
We met up with my good friend Jenny and her little boy, Hatcher, who is eleven days older then Katelyn. It was so cute to see the babies together and so much fun to hang out with Jenny and talk about our parenting experiences.
Poppy, my dad, and Uncle Stew, my brother, took care of Katelyn on Thursday night when Mom and I went to a Tea Party at the church. Everything went just fine, with the exception of an epic diaper that sent Uncle Stew running from the room : ) Katelyn seems to have a lot of those "epic" diapers, just ask her daddy.
Katelyn also experienced her first craft show, although she slept through the whole thing. A craft show is a bad place for Mommy and Grammy to visit. There were so many cute baby things to buy. How could we resist? It was quite a week!
Katelyn and Hatcher.
It was hard to get both babies happy at the same time for pictures, but I think we got a few decent shots.

Not a big fan of the sun. We will have to find her some baby sunglasses to wear.

Ricky was off work today so we took Katelyn on her first picnic to Star Lake. It was a beautiful day for a picnic.

Katelyn the bunny.
Early in the morning when mommy and daddy are very tired is when Katelyn wants to play. She just lays on her changing table and smiles and smiles. Here she is smiling at her mobile. I try not to encourage her so she will go back to sleep, but she is just too darn cute.

Katelyn did just great with the Easter Bunny. Unfortunately the flash did not work on the picture where she was smiling, but this one turned out really good. She looks so small compared to the huge bunny.

Katelyn went on her first trip to the grocery store the other day. I just put her seat down in the cart and put my groceries around it. It worked out pretty well. Ricky said it will probably keep us from buying too many groceries because there is not a whole lot of room in the cart with her in it.

Katelyn's two month photo shoot was actually done in the parking lot of Publix. I had just fed her and she just looked so cute and I just happened to have my camera with me. She gave me some great shots.
I can't believe she is already two months old. Time really does fly.
Coming Soon......

Katelyn went for her two month checkup today. She is now 10 lbs 2 oz and 22 1/2 inches long. She is in the 45 percentile for weight and the 50 percentile for length. She is doing great!
Katelyn also had her first round of immunizations today. We are splitting them up so her body is not bombarded with all those medicines at once. She didn't even scream or cry when they gave her the injections. Hopefully she will handle shots better than I did as a child. We gave her some Infant Tylenol, but so far she has not been too overly fussy.
She is right on track and very healthy.

Katelyn's Grammy, my mom, came and stayed with us for a couple days. She kept Katelyn in her room so we could get some much needed sleep. It was so nice.
Pretty in pink.
It was such a beautiful day on Thursday that we just had to get out for a walk. I told Katelyn all about the birds I heard and the things I saw, even though she was sound asleep.
Katelyn enjoyed her second round of snow. Hard to believe we had snow twice in one year.
Katelyn's newest nickname is Drooly.

Katelyn went to church for the first time today. Of course mommy had to dress her up in her pink dress with the bonnet. We took her into Sunday School with us and she did just great. We stopped by the choir room on the way out and caused a bit of a stir with everyone coming up and oohing and aahing over her. She had a quite a big day.

Katelyn's cousin, Anna Leigh, came over to play with us the other day and we took some pictures of Katelyn's adorable gown with the bonnet. She is the cutest baby. Of course I am not biased at all.
